How The Coeliac Parent makes money

The Coeliac Parent is run by Steve Higham, trading as The Coeliac Parent. We make money in two ways: by selling our own printables in our Etsy shop, and by earning a small commission when you buy something through an affiliate link on this website.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a link to another shop. Some links on this website are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, that shop pays The Coeliac Parent a small commission. It costs you nothing extra: you pay the same price either way. The commission doesn't change what we include or recommend.

How we label them

Every affiliate link is labelled Ad right on the link, so you know before you click.
Any page with affiliate links says so at the top, above the products, not hidden at the bottom.
Links to our own Etsy shop are our own products, and we say so.

Programmes

Bookshop.org UK: our book links go to Bookshop.org UK. If you buy through one of those links, Bookshop.org UK pays us a small commission.
Amazon Associates UK: we are not part of this programme at the moment. We may also join Amazon Associates UK; we'll list it here when we do. If we join, the position will be that as an Amazon Associate we would earn from qualifying purchases, and we'll say so on this page and on any page with Amazon links.

How we choose what to include

We only include things that coeliac families genuinely find useful.
Commission doesn't change what we include. We don't add or leave out a product because of what it might earn us.
No one pays to be included. If we're ever given something for free, we'll say so.
Product suggestions are not safety promises. Always check labels, and follow your GP, dietitian or your child's clinical team, and Coeliac UK, for the facts.
The Coeliac Parent is independent. It is not affiliated with Coeliac UK, or with any shop or brand we mention.
